The message board has been removed temporarily. Since the message board was first placed online in August 2004 there have been 5 messages posted, all by the administrator. Only 11 people have signed up to use the board during this period and none have posted. Perhaps the board was too difficult to use, or it did not work for most people, or there was no interest in it.
Additionally, there were many attempts by non-HIA members to access the board, and hackers also attempted to break into the website through the board. It became increasingly difficult to verify which applicants were legitimate members and the message board represented a significant security risk. These factors lead us to halt the verification process in early July.
Because there was so little interest in this feature, it has been removed until something can be more user-friendly, compelling web feature can be provided. Please send your comments and suggestions to rconk@comcast.net .
