![]() Neighborhood Events The Hampton Improvement Association organizes many wonderful neighborhood events throughout the year. Be sure to attend the Fourth of July parade, the Halloween Party, the HIA Annual Meeting and many other events.
The Hampton Pool is a social focal point for Hampton families and friends. Home of the Hampton Hammerheads swim team, the Pool offers fun throughout the summer. See the Hampton Pool web site for more information.
Hampton is within five minutes of a huge array of shopping venues. The Towson Town Center Mall is less than two miles south on Dulaney Valley Road. Just west of Hampton, along York Road, there are a number of service and retail shops. To the north is Hunt Valley Towne Center, offering an variety of shops in an open, town-like setting.
Loch Raven Watershed offers bikers, joggers, hikers and fisherman several hundred acres containing miles of trails and waterfront to enjoy. Just two miles north of Hampton is the Pine Ridge Golf Course and driving range on Dulaney Valley Road. The community pool on Hampton Lane, is a popular place for families to get together for picnics, swimming and fun. The Hampton Swim Team competes against other area swim clubs during the summer. |

Education Continuing Education for Seniors: There is a wonderful learning opportunity in Towson for men and women, 50 and over, at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). The preview of Fall 2009 classes will be held on July 30, 2009 at Merrick Hall, Goucher College, 1021 Dulaney Valley Rd. at 9:30 a.m. Classes begin September 14 and end November 12. The classes are held at 7400 York Road with convenient free parking. The Institute was recently awarded a one million endowment from the Osher Foundation and is doing very well with excellent teachers.
